How to calculate the volume of Prism ?

Prism
A prism is a three-dimensional geometric shape that has two parallel, identical bases connected by rectangular or parallelogram-shaped sides, The followings steps are describe you how to calculate the Volume of prism

Formula to Find the volume of prism = Base Area × Height (Length of the Prism)

For Example From the above image

Base 1 (B1) = 8.00 m

Base 2 (B2) = 4.00 m

Height of the trapezoid (h) = 3.00 m

Length of the prism (L) = 6.00 m

STEP -01 – Calculate the base Area

Base Area= (1/2) × (Base 1+Base 2) × Height

So, Base Area= (1/2) × (8 +4 ) × 3 = 18.00 m2

STEP -02 – Volume of the Prism

Volume =Base Area × Height (Length of the Prism)

Base Area = 18m2, Length as per above image 6.00 m

so, Volume = 18 x 6 = 108.00 m3

The volume of the trapezoidal prism is 108.00 m³.
